What we do
Corvette Brake Pad and Disc Replacement
Brakes are measured, not estimated. Pad thickness and disc thickness against the manufacturer minimum decide what needs replacing, and you see the figures before you agree to anything.
Read MoreShow Less
Brake Inspection and Measurement
Pad and disc thickness measured against the wear limit, and the figures shared.
Brake Pad Replacement
Replaced in axle sets, on pads matched to the car rather than the cheapest that fit.
Brake Disc Replacement
Replaced when below minimum thickness or unevenly worn.
Caliper Service and Repair
Sliders cleaned and seals checked, which is what stops uneven wear returning.
Brake Fluid Replacement
Fluid absorbs moisture and loses its boiling point, and heat here accelerates it.
Wear Sensor Replacement
Replaced with the pads, since a used sensor gives a false reading.
Electronic Parking Brake Service
Retracted and reset with GDS2, which an EPB requires rather than prefers.
ABS Diagnosis
Warning lights and sensor faults read rather than cleared.
Brake Hose and Line Inspection
Perishing and corrosion found before they become a failure.
Bedding-In and Road Test
Bedded to the correct procedure, because new brakes are not at full performance cold.
What we see on these cars
What Matters on Corvette Brakes
Serious brakes on a light, fast car, with a ceramic option on the highest performance versions that changes how they are inspected and priced.
Carbon Ceramic Where Fitted
The highest performance versions carry ceramic discs, which are assessed by weight against a manufacturer figure rather than measured for thickness.
Correct Pad Compound
Ceramic discs take specific pads. Fitting a steel-disc pad ruins the disc, and the disc is the expensive part.
Pad and Disc Measurement
On the steel-braked cars, measured against the manufacturer minimum with the figures shared before the quote.
Brake Fluid Boiling Point
On a car with this performance, moisture in the fluid gives a soft pedal exactly when it is least welcome. Tested rather than assumed.
Deposits on Stored Cars
A car that sits develops surface deposits that feel like a warped disc on the first drive and clear with use.
Bedding-In
Skipped, it produces vibration and reduced performance from brakes that are otherwise perfect.
How it works
How Corvette Brake Work Runs
Four stages, and you see the measurements before you approve anything.
1. Measure
Pad and disc thickness against the manufacturer minimum, on all four corners.
2. Written Quote
The figures, what they mean, and what the work costs.
3. Replacement
In axle sets, with sliders cleaned and hardware replaced.
4. Bed In and Road Test
Bedded to procedure and tested, so the brakes work as intended from the first stop.

Warning signs
When a Corvette Needs Brake Work
Braking is the one system with no margin for waiting. Eight signs to act on.
Squealing
A wear indicator doing its job, or glazed pads.
Grinding
Metal on metal. This is past the pad and into the disc.
Vibration Under Braking
Uneven disc thickness felt through the pedal or the wheel.
Longer Stopping Distance
The most important sign and the easiest to normalise.
Soft or Sinking Pedal
Fluid, air or a hydraulic fault, and none of them wait.
Pulling to One Side
A seized caliper or a hydraulic problem on one corner.
Brake Warning Light
Fluid level, pad wear or ABS, and worth reading rather than guessing.
Parking Brake Fault
An electronic parking brake reporting a fault needs diagnosis, not force.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do Discs Have to Be Replaced With Pads?
Not always. Discs are replaced when they are below minimum thickness, unevenly worn or scored. If they measure within specification they stay, and we show you the figures either way.
How Long Do Brakes Last Here?
Less than in cooler traffic. Heat and stop-start driving both shorten pad life, and a heavy car shortens it further. Measurement is the only reliable answer for your car.
How Often Should Brake Fluid Be Changed?
Every two years is the usual guidance and it is sound here. Fluid absorbs moisture, moisture lowers the boiling point, and a low boiling point is what gives you a soft pedal after repeated heavy braking.
Why Does an Electronic Parking Brake Need a Tool?
The caliper piston is driven by a motor and has to be retracted electronically. Forcing it back damages the mechanism, which is why an EPB is put into service mode with GDS2 and reset afterwards.
What Is Bedding In?
A controlled sequence of stops that transfers an even layer of pad material onto the disc. Skip it and you get vibration and reduced performance from brakes that are otherwise perfectly good.
My Brakes Judder After the Car Has Been Parked
If it clears within a few kilometres it is deposits on the disc face from standing rather than a warped disc. If it does not clear, it is measured properly before anything is quoted, because the answer decides whether it is a skim, a replacement, or something else entirely.
