Six stages. Most of the quality of a protector fit is in the preparation, not the fitting.
1. Preparation
The rims are deep cleaned and dried, because the adhesive needs a genuinely clean surface to hold to.
2. Measurement and Cutting
The protector material is measured and cut to length for each wheel. This is the step that decides whether the fit looks right.
3. Adhesive Application
A specialist adhesive from the kit is applied evenly along the inner edge of the rim.
4. Protector Placement
The strip is placed along the inner edge with the adhesive side to the rim, pressed home, and the excess trimmed.
5. Brief Curing
Depending on the adhesive, a short curing period lets the bond fully form before the car goes back to you.
6. Final Inspection
The fitted protectors are checked for alignment and adhesion all the way round.
